Ancient grains grow in prominence
Quinoa is among the top-five fastest-growing ancient grains across global food and drink innovation in recent years. Chung Hsiang’s Natural Series Healthy Feast Black Pepper Flavoured Quinoa Crackers from Taiwan is said to be enriched with quinoa, flaxseed and black pepper to offer more nutrients and flavours. According to the manufacturer, quinoa is low in calories, and is rich in various amino acids and dietary fibre to promote bowel movements, as well as give a feeling of fullness. Quinoa is known to be low-glycemic and free from gluten and cholesterol too. These Taiwanese crackers are made using fermentation and baking processes, and are free from preservatives, colourings, flavourings and MSG.
