Guang Sheng Yuan Foods, Shaoxing Aged Cooking Wine
Shaoxing Aged Cooking Wine gained a place on Mintel’s list as it plugs the remaining “significant opportunities to develop better-for-you sauces in China”, particularly formulations that are meat-free and low in sodium.
This trend has escalated since the government’s recently revised its dietary guidelines to reflect greater perceived harm caused by sugar and salt.
The only Chinese brand to reduce its salt content in 2016 was found to be Guang Sheng Yuan Foods, which launched a range of low-sodium cooking wines brewed with pure grains.
Guang Sheng Yuan, which is one of China’s best loved brands, also manufactures Rabbit creamy candy, yuan honey and tonic wine.
