Nordson Corporation has appointed Masaru Uchida as president of Nordson K.K. (Japan).

Uchida (pictured) joined Nordson K.K. in May 2008 as director for headquarters administration with responsibility for finance, information systems, human resources and general affairs and became representative director in July 2010.

Revenues in Japan in during fiscal year 2011 were $111m, or 9% of total fiscal year 2011 revenues of $1.2bn, said the firm.

"Nordson provides precision technology solutions which combine product and technology development with direct sales and service to various industries such as food, beverage, electronics, construction, transportation, pharmaceutical, medical equipment and hygiene​," said Uchida.

"We are always ready to serve local market needs with our state-of-the-art system solutions in adhesive dispensing, industrial coating and advanced technology.

“And, because of our global capabilities, we can also support our customers as they expand their business outside of Japan​."
