Industry big-hitters to address 50th AIFST conference in Sydney
FoodNavigator-Asia is the international digital media partner for the convention, which takes place at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, alongside the foodpro exhibition on July 17 and 18.
This year’s theme is The Future of Food, with confirmed speakers including Bega Cheese executive chairman, Barry Irvin and CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, chief executive Larry Marshall.
Irvin has been Chairman of Bega Cheese since 2000 and has overseen the firm’s growth from a small regional dairy company to one of the largest in Australia.
Prior to joining CSIRO, Dr Marshall had 25 years’ experience as an international technology entrepreneur. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications and conference papers, holds 20 patents and has founded six successful US companies in biotechnology, photonics, telecommunications and semiconductors.
