Vitafoods Europe 2012 in Geneva attracted companies from all over the world, including Asia, with three dedicated pavilions to China, India and Korea housing smaller ingredients firms from each market.

While Asia business took up less space on the show floor, presence was plentiful.

The China section – the largest of all three – housed numerous small firms, many specialising in traditional plant extracts and for some it was the first time at Vitafoods and others a returning visit to meet clients.

The India pavilion, while smaller in size, had some interesting companies exhibiting with a lot of herbal extracts on show. Korea’s dedicated space was filled with small firms showcasing ingredients very much positioned as ‘good-for-health’ and beauty, with native Ginseng a popular product.

FoodNavigator-Asia takes you on a quick snapshot tour of the three dedicated Asian business pavilions.
