The Muslim market: a premium opportunity for food manufacturers

Related tags Islam

Asian Muslims are becoming savvier when it comes to quality food products, according to an expert on the Muslim market.

Lisa Mabe, principal and founder of Hewar Social Communication, told there is great opportunity for manufacturers in the Halal market, specifically with premium Halal products. Muslim consumers are currently looking to more quality foods that adhere to Islam.

However, Mabe identifies challenges manufacturers should anticipate, such as competition with local products. She says that cities throughout Asia make for ideal entry points for companies to either initiate or further a stronghold in the Muslim community, as city-dwellers are more familiar with brands and international products.

The findings of Lisa Mabe is tru and appreciated, I was considering this market for last three years, not only in Asian Cities, in London, New York etc... are also good entries for Halal Food retail markets, as Muslim community has spreaded over and even it has same basics as Kosher foods.
