Convenience chain 7-Eleven Singapore has included local dietary supplement brand Ocean Health’s products, including gummies and fast melt powder, into its offerings.

Ocean Health said that the full range of its Joyful Gummies and bestsellers like Probiotic Fastmelt, Omega 3 Fish Oil, and Buffered C could be found in the convenience chain.

There are five SKUs under the Joyful Gummies range, namely apple cider vinegar that claims to support healthy weight, a Hair, Skin & Nails formula containing ingredients such as vitamin C, D, E, zinc, and biotin.

The other three products are for immune support, stress support, and a women’s multi.

Retailed at SGD$30.18 (US$22.46) per bottle of 45 gummies, the gummies come in peach, apple, grapes, berries, and raspberry flavours.

Ocean Health believes that easy-to-consume, especially gummies and fast melt powder, are “ideal” for the health needs of 7-Eleven shoppers, which could range from office executives, neighbourhood dwellers, to fleet-footed tourists.

The products are on sale in 112 out of 500 7-Eleven outlets in Singapore.

Ocean Health is a brand under specialty pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare group Hyphens Pharma International Limited.

This is the first time that the company is entering the convenience store distribution channel, it believes that the move would further increase its market visibility and brand penetration.

“We are delighted to have a global brand like 7-Eleven with the largest convenience store chain in Singapore, carry our Ocean Health supplements, including our latest Joyful Gummies product,” said Lim See Wah, executive chairman and CEO of Hyphens Pharma.

“Joyful Gummies contain healthy nutrients, no added sugar and no artificial sweeteners, yet are full of delicious natural flavours. This makes them the perfect choice for those who wish to start taking baby steps in supporting their everyday health and wellness needs, and their presence in ubiquitous 7-Eleven stores all over Singapore will allow for an easy and convenient addition to our new and existing customers’ daily routines,” he added.

The convenience chain currently also sells supplements such as NewMoon C-1000mg, a vitamin C, B3, B6 drink and Suntory Brand’s bottled edible bird’s nest and Essence of Chicken.

The selling of dietary supplements is already a common sight in markets such as Thailand and Taiwan.

In Taiwan, convenience chain such as Family Mart has developed and launched a series of supplements with the company MicroBio Group since April 2022.

Known as FamilyMart Collection, the series contains products such as B vitamins, probiotics, lutein. It later expanded to launch exclusive probiotics products with the brand Weider.

The chain has since launched a health supplement section known as FamiCare+ where products such as Doppelhertz’s Artichoke + Turmeric and Lutein Day + Night could also be found.
