2 Sisters appoints new head of livestock
2 Sisters owned St Merryn Foods has re-appointed Prys Morgan as head of livestock procurement in Wales.
The red meat processor at Methyr Tydfil appointed Morgan after a two-year break from the company. Morgan’s knowledge and experience would benefit the business and help to build collaborative relationships and buy livestock, 2 Sisters said.
He will be responsible for beef and lamb procurement at the Methyr Tydfil site – 2 Sisters’ largest red meat plant – and develop the new production system at the site.
2 Sisters red meat procurement director John Dracup said: “Prys understands the sector and brings a wealth of knowledge that will beef up our procurement and agricultural teams.
“We want to further strengthen our relationships with our valued producers and Prys has the skills and experience to drive this forward.”
