Tentamus Group has completed the acquisition of TÜV Rheinland’s food analytics testing business and other food-related facilities in China.

The laboratories in Fuzhou and Hainan, China, as well as in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, strengthen the network of the global product and safety group in Greater China. The local authorities of both countries have approved or registered the transaction, fulfilling legal closing requirements.

Tentamus Group had earlier acquired TÜV Rheinland's subsidiary, Luxcontrol GmbH, in Germany, on Jul 1.

Dr Jochen Zoller, founder & CEO, Tentamus Group, said: “With the business development of the food business of TÜV Rheinland, we took a huge step towards the advancement of our globalisation strategy.”

"Due to the steady growth of the food industry and the increasingly global approach of our clients, we are well-positioned, with the transaction, to fulfil our customers' testing and inspection needs and, of course, to strengthen their global chain of custody with our support," he said.
