1. Attract families the way it’s done in the West
Families are now flocking to Western restaurants in Vietnam. Indeed Western-style outlets already account for 7% of out-of-home dining visits, with a younger generation of Vietnamese now familiar with the menus and branding of international chains.
Traditional eateries would stand to benefit by mirroring this approach and borrowing similar features, such as discount vouchers, targeted promotions and high levels of cleanliness. By doing so, they would also attract more customers from high-spending demographics who are often more cosmopolitan.
