China and India are together leading this supplements surge, giving the wider region a high source of market potential for SGS, a patent-protected nutritional ingredient, designed to induce crucial protective enzymes in humans.
"The growing middle class and affluence in Asia-Pacific as well as concerns among consumers for safety of products indicate to us a great future in high end, high quality nutraceutical products." said Alex Grantz, general manager for exports at Connell Brothers,
SGS broccoli seed extract contains glucoraphanin, a phytochemical naturally found in broccoli. When consumed, glucoraphanin converts to a potent antioxidant and cellular protector called sulforaphane. These enzymes eliminate many types of free radicals and environmental pollutants and trigger ongoing antioxidant action.
