Australian body appoints new regional manager
Jamie Ferguson has been announced as Meat and Livestock Australia’s (MLA) new regional manager for the Middle East and North America.
Ferguson will be taking over from Lachlan Bowtell who held the post at the red meat marketing and servicing company for three years.
In the position, which is based at the company’s headquarters in Dubai, Ferguson will be responsible for maintaining and increasing the Australian red meat industries’ leading market position across Levant, Egypt and the Maghreb countries.
Ferguson said he was delighted to have joined MLA as a regional manager and added he was going to draw on the achievements of Bowtell to “drive constant growth in this region, where local consumers and the hospitality industry have always appreciated the halal, clean, safe and gourmet attributes of Australian red meat products”.
