Toyo Ink Group DYO Printing Inks acquisition
Toyo Ink Group is to acquire 75% of shares of DYO Printing Inks in Turkey to expand its inks and coatings in the packaging market, including materials for food packages.

The company has been focusing on Turkey as a platform for building a business hub and set up two offices there in 2014 and in January this year.

After realizing local production is essential to establishing an operating foothold in the area, it decided to acquire a local company.

Katsumi Kitagawa, president, Toyo Ink Group, said the firm has been accelerating its global expansion by expanding sales offices in China and Southeast Asia and by setting up new manufacturing plants in developing countries such as India and Brazil.

It now plans to focus on MENA (Middle East & North Africa), Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Headquartered in Manisa, DYO Printing Inks is a manufacturer of gravure inks, flexo inks, offset inks and can coatings.
