‘Customers are looking for a full service partner to simplify line development, achieve optimum performance, reduce risks, simplify line control, and better manage costs throughout the design, build, and production lifecycle’, says Pro Mach.

The Ohio-based company has rapidly grown into an integrated packaging and processing manufacturer, more than tripling its sales outside the US since 2010.

$600m revenue

It provides stand-alone machines and integrated systems for many of the world’s most recognized brands and recently acquired Canadian company Zarpac, which has a facility in China.

Barry Heiser, president, Global Filler & Integrated Solutions, Pro Mach, said it expects to exceed $600m revenue this year.

DairyReporter reported Pro Mach acquired Federal Manufacturing in 2012, which provides rotary liquid filling packaging machinery for the dairy sector, to expand its primary packaging portfolio.

Heiser said it decided to acquire Zarpac, which provides line performance improvement, modeling, and testing, to further grow in North America and abroad, particularly with companies looking for consistent packaging performance as they expand into new markets.

Consumer packaged goods companies are looking for competitive advantages that help them produce and package their products more efficiently with higher quality, less waste, increased profit, and better resolution of issues that impact performance,” he added.

Zarpac’s products and services include packaging line system design and build, performance diagnostics software, robotics testing and integration, mechanical and electrical engineering, project management, technical training, productivity support, and material handling.

China facility

Zarpac has customers in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.

Mark Anderson, CEO, Pro Mach, added that Zarpac’s Chinese facility will help the company serve its customers across Asia and will extend its global support infrastructure thanks to newly-acquired facilities in Mexico and Dubai.

Frank Roberts, current CEO, Zarpac, will become senior vice president of the newly-formed Pro Mach Integrated Solutions Group.

Pro Mach and Zarpac have a strong history of working together to serve mutual customers,” said Roberts.

We bring together a great deal of experience and success in different aspects of packaging line creation, integration, and performance.”
