Indian ingredient firm Roha opens German base

Indian-based ingredient firm Roha has continued its global expansion by opening a German office to increase technical and consumer support in Europe. 

The company said that Germany’s position as the largest food and beverage market in the Europe meant it was vital it had a presence in the country.

Roha DyeChem managing director Mahesh Tibrewala said: “It is our declared vision and policy to grow closer to our customers to infuse a personal touch and to create a climate of change. This development is a step in that direction. Also, our vision is to strengthen and consolidate our leadership position in this extremely important market and to expand the reach of our products and services in the region. To that end, it was thought that it will be imperative for us to have a strong customer service foothold in the region.”

Roha was formed in 1972 from a small office in the Indian city of the same name in the state of Maharashtra. Today it has 12 other manufacturing centres in the US, UK, Spain, South Africa, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Egypt, Brazil, Australia and Mexico.
