Asia-Pacific's 10 biggest retailers: Japan continues to lead the way

Post a commentBy RJ Whitehead , 23-Jun-2014

Over the next five years, Asia-Pacific will account for more than half of all the world’s new retail sales, according to this year’s edition of Euromonitor’s Retail Asia-Pacific Top 500 rankings.

The study, conducted each year by the market research provider and now in its eleventh year, is an accumulation of Euromonitor’s retailing data and analysis ranking the top retailers in 14 key economies across Asia-Pacific.

Its results suggests the region’s recent dynamic growth rate might be slowing, but it is expected to generate the highest amount of absolute new retail sales.

Here, we list the top 10 retailers to feature specifically within the supermarket, hypermarket and convenience store categories, according to Euromonitor’s research.
