Global stevia extract supplier, Sunwin International Neutraceuticals, has changed its name to accurately reflect its core business and thus capitalize on market opportunities, the company said.
The China-based firm’s new operating name is Sunwin Stevia International but it will retain its trading symbol SUWN.
Dongdong Lin, CEO of the company, said that the name change marks part of its rebranding strategy amid a surging market for stevia.
“We look forward to continue to build our stevia production and distribution business as the food and beverage industry trends toward lower calorie, all natural products. We believe stevia is now in the right place at the right time to become the sweetener of choice when it comes to healthier products that taste great,” Lin said.
The company said that there will be a progressive increase in the use of stevia across the food and beverage industry; with opportunities it is set to capitalize on.
