New Zealand dairy Lewis Road Creamery has extended its flavoured milk offering after the success of its collaboration with a popular Kiwi chocolate brand.

Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Coffee Milk and Fresh Vanilla Milk - the result of new partnerships with premium Kiwi brands, Coffee Supreme and Heilala Vanilla - hit shelves across New Zealand earlier today.

"Both Coffee Supreme and Heilala Vanilla represent the very finest within their respective categories and share our vision of delivering world-class products to their customers," said Peter Cullinane, founder, Lewis Road Creamery.

"The taste experience of these two new flavours not only complement each other but also our ever-popular chocolate milk, meaning our line-up of flavoured milks now offers something for everyone - no matter your taste or the occasion," he added.

Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Chocolate Milk - dubbed the "perfect marriage" of Lewis Road Creamery whole milk and Whittaker's 5 Roll Refined Milk Chocolate - took New Zealand by storm when it was launched in October 2014.

Lewis Road Creamery now boasts a three-product flavoured milk range.

Consumers were pictured queueing to get their hands on 300ml and 750ml bottles of the chocolate milk.

In response, some stores implemented a two bottle per customer limit. Others, according to reports at the time, employed security guards to monitor shelves of the sought after flavoured milk.

'Gently warmed'

Since then, Auckland-based Lewis Road Creamery has been working to boost its production capacity and extend its flavoured milk offering.

Like Lewis Road Creamery Fresh Chocolate Milk, 300ml and 750ml bottles of Fresh Coffee Milk and Fresh Vanilla Milk contain "only a few real ingredients of the high quality and no additives or preservatives."

Fresh Coffee Milk, for example, contains just coffee extract, organic coconut sugar and Lewis Road Creamery permeate-free whole milk.

The ingredients are "gently warmed" before being pasteurised and bottled.

This, Lewis Road Creamery says, is in "stark contrast" to coffee milk products made using instant coffee.

Similarly, Lewis Road Creamery's permeate-free whole milk is gently warmed with pure vanilla extract and natural sugar cane to produce its "smooth, velvety" Fresh Vanilla Milk.

"We are incredibly proud of our two new flavours and believe they deliver on our mission to bring Kiwis top-quality dairy products that taste better than what's available anywhere else in the world," Cullinane added.
