The managing director of Goodman Fielder’s Australian business died suddenly over the weekend in a motorcycle accident, the company has announced.
Andrew Hipperson, who led the food manufacturer for just over two years, was riding in Jerrawangala National Park, New South Wales, when the accident happened on Saturday.
Goodman Fielder’s product lines include Meadow Fresh, Pampas, White Wings, Praise, Wonder White and Helga’s.
“Andrew was a valued member of our group executive team,” said Goodman Fielder CEO, Chris Delaney, in a statement. “Andrew will be deeply missed by all of us.”
Until Hipperson’s replacement is named, Australian business heads will report directly to the Delaney.
In previous roles at Goodman Fielder, Hipperson was managing director of Goodman Fielder’s Home Ingredients and Asia Pacific businesses.
Hipperson was 51. Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
